What is Reiki?
 
Reiki is a powerful healing method to heal yourself
and others.
 
The word Reiki refers to a simple hands-on healing technique that was given to us by Dr. Mikao Usui, who rediscovered this ancient healing method, in Japan in the late 19th century.
Dr. Usui chose the term Reiki to describe Universal Life Force Energy, which calms the mind and raises a person's life force.
 
Through the use of soothing hands laid on the body in certain positions, the process of healing is accelerated. The essence of this form of healing is passed on from teacher to student through a series of initiations that in Reiki are called empowerments or attunements.
 
Reiki relaxes and heals on a cellular level and is a very simple and highly cost effective approach to staying  naturally relaxed. It is a gentle and non-invasive way of remaining in touch with the Source.
   
Reiki is effective for prevention of dis-eases and energy imbalances on all levels of your being.
The over-all effect of Reiki is to help bring the body into balance so it can heal itself.

Mukto is a Dutch-born Traditional Reiki Master in the Usui System of Natural Healing.
 
She studied and received her Reiki First and Second Degree under Dutch Reiki Alliance Master Dick Nijssen in 1989 and received her Reiki Master initiation in 1990, from Dutch Reiki Master Jan Burggraaf.
 
After becoming a Reiki Master she started a growth and meditation center called "Energy in Balance" where she taught for several years many students, Reiki in the Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing.

She worked for many years as a registered nurse in Holland and has an extensive background in the field of natural healing. Inner exploration and meditation made her journey to many different countries and brought her in 1996 to Sedona, Arizona in the USA.

Reiki Classes

 

The First Degree Reiki Class

First Degree Reiki is taught in a 2-day class where four separate empowerments or attunements are given. The Reiki history will be shared and explained. During this course you will learn the hand positions to treat yourself and the whole body. You will get a chance to test and experience Reiki and to learn to trust the process. There will be plenty of practice and opportunity for questions and sharing.

A First Degree Reiki class is a gift to yourself, it provides a wonderful opportunity to learn to nurture yourself and others. After completing the Reiki First Degree class, the Reiki will be always available to you.

The Reiki 1st Degree is a completed course in itself and will be rounded off with a certificate.

 

 

The Second Degree Reiki Class

Second Degree Reiki is normally taught in 2-day segment and is available to First Degree Reiki practitioners who have worked with Reiki for a minimum of 3-6 months. This will give the practitioner the time to go through the natural process of cleansing, healing and adjusting which occur with the First Degree, to experience the many internal shifts, and an opportunity to raise their life force energy.

With the First Degree more focused on the physical aspects, the Second Degree is much more mental and emotional oriented.

During the Second Degree Reiki class two empowerments or attunements are given and you will be taught the three symbols that enable you to provide distance healing, a healing beyond the limits of time and space. You can use the Second Degree symbols to perform a distance healing on yourself and on others. By creating a Bridge you can heal events in the past, present and future. The use of the Second Degree symbols is most beneficial by healing your own past.

As in the First Degree class, there will be plenty of time given to practice, to experiment, to raise questions and to share.You will receive a Reiki 2nd Degree certificate upon completion.

 

The Third Degree

With the First and Second Degree you have everything you need to heal yourself and others. By continuing using the Reiki energy you raise your Life Force Energy and you will continue to grow in understanding and awareness.

Third Degree or Master Degree Training is only called for, if you feel a strong desire to teach Reiki to others. If this is not the case there is no need to take the Third Degree.
